FireFoe High Temperature Tube Range gains momentum

FireFoe High Temperature Tubes now account for over 50% of FireFoe sales worldwide. Since launch in 2009, it has rapidly become a key member of the FireFoe range of products. Designed for us in environments where the ambient operating temperature is relatively high (130°F - 220°F), it has become a popular installation in engine compartments and hydraulic spaces in many different types of wheeled and tracked handling and agricultural equipment and in countries as diverse as Vietnam, Senegal and Dubai.

FireFoe attracts the attention of the Nuclear Industry

Engineers at the Los Alamos National Laboratory, the US Governments nuclear research facility, have discovered the unique benefits of the FireFoe tube and believe it to be the best solution for installation in gloveboxes where radioactive material is present. Because the tubes are completely self-contained, the intergrity of the glovebox is not compromised.

Quickfire has worked closely with Los Alamos to develop a custom tube and to carry out a series of successful firekill tests in a test rig replicating their gloveboxes. These tests were supervised and verified by the testing and certification agency, Intertek.

The results of this work were presented at the American Glovebox Societys annual conference in July of this year for the benefit of other glovebox users and manufacturers in the United States.

QuickFire USA LLC has announced a new vice president sales, Noel Baker, to manage its North American and Canadian sales operation.

Noel has a wide ranging consulting and sales background, particularly in the automotive safety field and we are delighted to have an executive of Noels calibre on board.
